Overtime
Work, work work and more work. Thats my life lately.
I thought I was getting a great deal when I was hired on the spot a few weeks ago....
I just walked in, told them I wanted a job and they gave it to me. "What a deal!", i thought to myself.
Too bad I didint know what I was in for.
It was a movie theater, two screens and one snack bar. I got paid 5.75 an hour to serve people popcorn and soda. I thought i had it made......but wow.....i was wrong....

The thing that bugs me the most about any job....ANY job.....is the ''customers''....

After a while, you can put the customers into diffrent ''classes''....

Theres the "normal" customers: people who just want to see the movie and have a good time. i like those
customers the best.

Theres the "good" customers: people you recognize you. people who know how hard it is to work 9 to 5
in a dirty, sweaty place. usually these are customers i know from the "outside world"....some of them are even natives too.

Then there's the absoulte worst......

The "Rich" customers.

They all look and act and think the same. They are usually middle aged or young.....always professional looking, always anglo.

and they always treat me like a sack of crap. they act like they own the place....like you are alittle injun who dosent know how to tie his shoes.

i get that alot......

..."Excuse me sir, but i wanted BUTTER in the middle of my popcorn.....didint you hear me say I wanted BUTTER. No habla Ingles, muchacho???"

Si, yo habla ingles.......stupido gringo. now dont get me wrong....i dont ''hate'' anglos. in fact, we are supposed to love one another no matter what.

but i think the worst part is when they talk V-E-R-Y  S-L-O-W-L-Y..... like i cant understand English.

i dont even know why i still work there. i dont know why i just dont quit and say to hell with it and get a job somewhere that i can be respected........if such a place exists......

The moral of this story? Dont get a job in a movie theater.
